I feel like for me it has to be Negima/UQ Holder and Gantz, Negima is great but the MOUNTAIN of 'anime bullshit' makes it a hard rec, and Gantz is somehow EVEN WORSE but I think the story of Kurono becoming a better person in an insanely bleak world is really well done

It's so nuts how Kingdom Hearts doesn't give a fuck about fidelity with the characters from ff10, you got kid Titus and Wakka on the island, Auron is still a champion of the dead but he's off on his own thing, then the Yuna Two-na crew-na are a trio of fairies just messing with you for fun
