This is something that I have naturally experienced along my own weight loss journey. Instead of chasing the number on your scale, you learn to start listening to your body and the signs it gives you. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
Instead of focusing on weight, it emphasizes sustainable habits that nourish your body and mind. This approach encourages paying attention to how different foods support your energy, focus, and overall wellness-without strict rules or guilt.

This is very important, as some people who follow fad diets, may choose to restrict or cut out carbohydrate intake beause they believe it will help them. While some won't have negative effects, it does not downplay the role of carbohydrates creating energy for our bodies. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

One fun fact I learned about fiber is its role in potentially reducing excess cholesterol. Fiber you eat can bind to bile salts, with a cholesterol base, in your intestine and secrete excess cholesterol from your system. Eating enough fiber is important for your GI health @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This post really resonates with me, because I find myself treating nutrition as a requirement, when it should be something that nurtures my body. My food should give me energy and make me feel good, I shouldn't restrict my diet "just because".
There’s a difference in choosing foods that make you feel physically better versus following rules because you “should”.

I agree with you that study size is extremely important for intrepretation of data. In a small sample size, it makes it harder to generalize data for the overall population. Demographics are also important, as some groups may be more predisposed to certain conditions. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Something which stood out to me, which I will look out for when reading nutritional resources is cross-sectional studies. These are often red flags, as they tend to show data which is correlational, not caustional. They show associations, but can't explain them. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I'm PharmD 2030. I needed an elective, and I was already interested in nutrition. Something I am most curious about in regards to nutrition, what is truly "unhealthy" food? A word I associate with nutrition is "sustainable". My favorite food is cheeseburgers. @beh353.bsky.social @beh353 #beh353
