The Vikings took an ambitious swing when they hired Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, one of the NFL's least experienced GM hires in a long time. I think that's the lens to view his tenure, his firing and all the (oft-denied) rumors of discord in between. Analysis:

Some analysis was in order Sunday. The Vikings' attempt to disperse blame for their 4-7 start is admirable. But the focus should be on J.J. McCarthy, who has had one of the worst starts to a career in a decade. A sudden and unexpected existential problem. www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/...

As the football world watches eagle-eyed, Justin Jefferson is doing the Vikings an enormous favor. He's largely kept his composure and thrown his full public support behind J.J. McCarthy. It doesn't always go this way. "Extremely grateful."

Let's be clear about what happened. Carson Wentz sacrificed himself to protect 2 QBs the Vikings valued more in the long term. It went on for as long as Wentz could manage it. Now, it's time to find out if J.J. McCarthy -- or even Max Brosmer -- can play.
