Grayson Rodriguez said he didn't go through a pre-trade physical assessment from the Angels. The deal happened as-is. But Rodriguez said he is ready for spring training
Well the meeting that I had scheduled for first thing this coming Monday morning that I’ve been FRETTING and STRESSING about was canceled so maybe that’s one good thing that’s finally gone in my favor for me lately 🙃 lmao

Exactly, it's not our money. He would immediately help the lineup, add more veteran presence, and it's up to Elias to figure out how to fix the rest of the outfield logjam. While unlikely, but SHOULD happen, dumping O'Neill should be the first or making a trade from somewhere else. Win now. IDC.
if mike elias wants to spend $400 million on Kyle Tucker that is none of my business
make it a cool half a bill i don't care

So are the Orioles still in the market for a CF? Or is Ward the OF bat they were looking for? I’m not particularly against Ward’s bat, he helps the lineup. I just wish he had more years of control and I’ll admit I’m still not sold on Cowser being our full time CF just yet.

I’m not really shocked that Grayson was moved. They must think he’s not going to be the ‘23 Grayson ever again or that he’s cooked. The part that doesn’t make sense is trading a SP under control til ‘29 for another injury prone rental corner OF. His bat is currently the best of all of them but meh.

Told my students today that my 1 “small” request was to try & practice for family during break next week. They ask “how many times?” So of course I responded with “…I don’t know, 6,7 times?!” (Followed by the nonsensical hand movement) & they basically screamed. They didn’t see that one coming. 😆🏆

I love Jeremiah Jackson to death and he was a fun story during a terrible season, especially after Elias clearly decided he was going to tank after the trade deadline. But if I had the choice between Ramon Urias and JJax as my UTIL INF on a competitive team, it’s Ramon Urias. Not even a question.

Just a reminder that if Elias was willing to pay Gibby $5M to get off of his couch & rush him back then he can pay to bring back Ramon to be our utility guy and anyone else on this roster. I don’t want to hear a damn thing about not wanting to pay anyone ever again after “no financial constraints.”
