(1/5) Last month, the people of Iran rose up in the largest nationwide protests since 1979. Thousands were killed. Tens of thousands more were arrested. Internet blackouts. Mass detentions. Families forced to search for their children among piles of bodies. And still, they refuse to be silent.

(1/6) The South Louisiana ICE Processing Center, run by the private prison giant GEO Group, is notorious for systemic abuse. In 2025, GEO reported $2.6 billion in revenue while deaths in detention reached their highest level in over two decades.

Get your shots. Get your kids vaccinated. Do not risk their lives for non-science. The United States surpassed a milestone in reported measles cases, with 2025 now having the most cases since the disease was declared eliminated in the U.S. in 2000, and the most cases in more than three decades.
2025 measles cases highest since 1991
There were 2,144 confirmed cases in 2025, though this is likely a significant undercount. About 93% were among people who were unvaccinated or whose vaccination status was unknown.

(1/4) Since December 28, peaceful protesters across #Iran have been met with bullets, mass arrests, and enforced disappearances. Security forces have fired into crowds, killing at least 6,800 people, though the true toll is likely far higher.

Sharing Congressman @joaquincastrotx.bsky.social's letter to Liam, the five-year-old boy kidnapped by ICE, with a very sweet mention of Daddy. Don’t let anyone tell you this isn’t your home, Liam.

(1/3) As my dear friend @donlemonofficial.bsky.social knows, journalism is one of the most dangerous jobs on earth. Don is boots on the ground, bearing witness, asking hard questions, and risking his safety to hold our government accountable. That is courage. That is journalism.

With Kennedy Human Rights Italia board member Donato Tramuto visiting the Mayor of Florence, she is showing us the book of visitors to her office.

Here, she is showing us the signatures of Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler. Chilling to be so close to evil.

Everyone is talking about AI in Davos. But almost no one is talking about its human rights impact. Innovation without human rights creates power vacuums, where the wealthy keep getting wealthier and everyday people pay the price. We’re here to change that.

(1/2) More people died in ICE custody last year than any other for the past two decades. And the harm extends far beyond federal detention centers: unchecked abuses and violent policing mean human rights abuses are bleeding out of ICE’s facilities and into our neighborhoods and schools.
