I have been saying this is a good solution for years. Publish every ballot anonymized with a reference number so that individuals can check that their ballot was correctly counted AND watchdog groups can validate the aggregate counts.
After enduring election conspiracy claims in recent years, Ada County, Idaho, believes it has found a way to restore confidence in the vote-counting system. All 271,186 ballots cast in the county in the Nov. 5 election will be published online, along with details of exactly how each was tabulated.
