First we were supposed to overlook Nazi salutes and now swastikas and nooses are only potentially divisive? As someone who studied the Holocaust in Europe and the horrific lynchings here in the US, I am appalled and I assure you that these are symbols of hate. What are we doing?

The Bill of Rights is for the people. The “people” or “persons” are mentioned throughout, not just citizens. I urge you to read the rights of the people in Amendment 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 and ask yourself if we are upholding our Constitution?

So grateful that my cousin, who is a Gettysburg Battle guide, took me throughout the Battlefield and then up Little Round Top at sunset last night. I learned so much to add to Bayonets! to share with my students this year.
