Retinopathy of Prematurity or ROP is a heartbreaking condition that affects preterm infants born too soon. It leads to growth of abnormal blood vessels in their retinas posing a serious threat to their vision.

Results of TH trial for 33-35w is out! No decrease in death or disability. TH actually resulted in a 87% increased risk of death at 18-22 months.

#RetinopathyOfPrematurity or #ROP is a heartbreaking condition that affects #preterm infants leading to growth of abnormal blood vessels in their retinas

If ROP is severe the babies are at risk of vision impairment & #blindness without treatment.
