Shout out to @cbcnews-rss.bsky.social and the podcast “Who Broke the Internet?” for motivating me to sit down and design these 🤴
Kaylyn Gibilterra, a 35-year-old made 3D-printed handheld cut-out heads of tech bosses—Zuckerberg, Bezos, Musk, and Gates. “It feels very much like we’ve gone back to like a Feudalist state regime,” she told me. “My goal is to hold them more accountable.”

Really feel like I’m cooking with these protest signs. The organizers for this event understood the assignment

I found Mars AND Jupiter in the tiny sliver of sky between Times Square skyscrapers for the planetary alignment 🤩😭🔭🌃

I am feeling really, really grateful to Bluesky existing and everyone that has put so much work into building this platform and bringing in community here.

With so many social media sites getting hostile and pro MAGA, I’m really appreciative that we can all be here.

Does anyone have tips for how to physically print astrophotography? I have an Epson 8550 and have tested a few types of papers from Red River company but I haven’t found a great configuration yet.

Getting the stars to contrast well is haaaard 😅

I caught what is a nearly perfect shot of the Gemini constellation last night!!!
✨✨✨✨✨

In Brooklyn NYC?!

Hot take: light pollution makes constellation identification easier not harder 🌃🌌🔭

Day 3 out of 4 catching a moon halo. This one features a surprising number of stars in the Leo constellation!

Follow for more moonbow hunting since apparently this is what I do now 😂🤩🔭
January 16, 2025 at 3:49 AM
Do these also count as moonbows?

It’s not as stunning as the ones from two nights ago, but I’d title the first one “Pillars of Moonbows Creation” if these count 😆

(…hopefully someone else sees the reference too)

Have you ever seen a full moon creating rainbows on the clouds around it? Because I had not and it’s surreal 🤯🌕🔭

I’m trying to follow the LA fires because my brother lives in Woodland Hills and is surrounded by them. 😩 But now news websites are completely unreadable, they have a few sentences of news and then spam ads?

How are others staying up to date on it? I’m genuinely lost

I was accepted into the Bluesky Astronomy feed and it feels like such an honor 😆🤩

*big stretch before spamming all sorts of star things*

I thought my first attempt at seeing a rocket launch was going to be a bust but it was actually preeeetty cool to see the rocket light up through the clouds 🚀🌌

I am working on a collection of stargazing products to encourage astronomy education and exploration! I would love to share my projects and findings with the Astronomy Education and broader groups! 🤩

I’m prototyping these 3D printed constellation cards where on one side you see a modern representation of it and the back has a historical one.

I love how the matching stars line up and you can compare what’s the same vs not…but this means that one side is mirrored. Will that be too confusing? 🤔

I made these little 3d printed Christmas ornaments for my company holiday party and I find it wild that when I asked ChatGPT to write the alt text for these two images it knew that the second was the glow in the dark frame without any context 🤯😍

Hanging out at someone else’s 3D studio and daydreaming about having my own some day 😍🤩

Ok here to brag because I just saw Taurus, the Pleiades, Orion, Gemini, Aries and Auriga without any tech in NYC 🤯 🌌 ✨

I’ve been waiting for the democrats to announce they were fighting the election results and it hasn’t happened and I’m really, really, REALLY upset about it.

Genuinely what is going on

Last most historic vote of my life? 🙏

(PS: vote no on props 2-6 if you’re in NYC!)

Weird self learning, but when someone has “coffee lover” of some sort in their bio…I always follow back 😂

Honestly, I’m pretty amazed anything works ever

This weekend’s project is to see if I can create a 3D printed, super thin, magnetic photo holder.

I might be able to sell my zodiac stargazing kits at a store, but I need to keep the photos straight, and I can’t cover up the back. 🤔 🧵
