Friends (esp if you live in CA) we REALLY need signatures on this petition supporting Bill AB412 - the AI Copyright Transparency Act.

TLDR = this will require AI corps to be transparent about what is in their datasets!

Signing takes 1 min. Once you sign, PLEASE SHARE!! tinyurl.com/4uxbp963

If you're a Canadian author looking to search the Books3 or LibGen DBs for the class action suit, here are gift links to the search tools on The Atlantic. You should have full access.

Books3 search: www.theatlantic.com/technology/a...

LibGen search: www.theatlantic.com/technology/a...
Canadian writers, there are now a couple of AI class actions for Canadian authors. Please check out both links below.
If you have found your books in the Books3 or LibGen DBs, you are likely to be included in the class(es).

Author friends, I have to move away from Mailchimp because they are going to charge for email automation now and I don't have a big enough subscriber base/writer income to justify a paid plan. Top alternative contenders include MailerLite and Brevo.
Opinions?

Greetings new followers! I am a weird little guy who lives in the woods. If you came for my political posts, brace yourself for mostly jokes and love of media. My second book, WEARING THE LION, drops in June!
Wearing the Lion by John Wiswell: 9780756419547 | PenguinRandomHouse.com: Books
"This novel effortlessly ascends to the heights of Mount Olympus. Tough and tender and bittersweet. Wearing the Lion establishes Wiswell firmly on the new fantasy landscape." —T. Kingfisher, Hugo...

As a bilingual person, my new favourite tech feature is dual language keyboards w/ autocorrect that can differentiate when I’m typing En/Fr, En/It, or En/Ko. (I’m only bilingual En/Fr, but my learning It/Ko clued me into the keyboard business)

OMFG that Ukraine Oval Office mess is the most disgusting thing I've seen in a long time. Vance can fuck right off about Ukraine not saying thank you. How asinine can you get?
My sympathies to the great people of Ukraine >:-(

NO @searchliaison.bsky.social, this is ABSOLUTELY NOT a *state* park.
We have provincial parks in Canada, and we are still a sovereign nation, despite certain musings.
Get your act together

I just finished this and it was the book I needed right now. Thank you @rebeccasolnit.bsky.social.
Recently I fell prey to either despair or burnout or both.
