I am absolutely honoured to become ambassador for @leedswomensaid.bsky.social

Nik and her team are an absolute inspiration and I’m looking forward to learning more from them; championing and supporting them, on our mission to halve violence against women and girls

Some elements of this job are joyful.

Meeting people like Liz, who have the vision, passion and just GSD.

Today she and her team made girls rugby in Otley a reality, for the first game. It was a privilege to be there and to see and feel what they have created.

Here’s to many more games! 🏉

Great to be out in Yeadon again this afternoon for
#NationalCampaignWeekend, hearing about housing and buses.

Talking to people F2F is such a brilliant tonic. And I enjoyed meeting some lovely cats 🐈‍⬛

The weather held out so there was no need for the trusty Labour brolly this week ☂️

Yesterday I spoke in the house around the smart phone free bill introduced by the brilliant Josh MacAllister. Proud to work with him & colleagues.

It was an important step and there was good cross party agreement.

Looking forward hearing more from the Professor Whitty and taking further action.

Happy World Book Day 📚 great to hear Education Secretary pick a Yorkshire classic 👌🏻

Think I fell in love with reading later in life & its such a source of joy - I read Circe 2x.

Went to the event in Parliament this week - such a great initiative, anything we can do foster a love of reading 📕
Happy #WorldBookDay! 📚

I’m determined to get more children reading for pleasure, so we can deliver our Plan for Change and give children the best start in life.

I love reading so when I’m asked about my favourite book, it’s tricky to pick one!

The Sunday Times just called it “the most important document you’ll never read,” but today’s Carbon Budget is a big deal.

I've recorded a video on what it is and what it means.

Labour promised 2 million extra appointments within a year of the election.

NHS England statistics released today show we delivered on that promise in just 5 months.

Fixing our public services after the state the Tories left them in will take time, but this is the change the country voted for 🌹

The first duty of any government is to protect its citizens.

The Tories failed to maintain our flood defences putting lives and livelihoods at risk.

Labour is investing a record £2.65bn to upgrade and build defences to protect communities.

Moons is such a brilliant business who I highlighted in my maiden speech.

A company who’ve navigated generations & continue produce gorgeous fabrics.

It was a pleasure to visit the factory.

Kemi Badenoch mentioned how much the UK's debt interest is costing us. She's right, it's becoming crippling. And a very substantial portion of that debt was added to the UK government's balance sheet during the Conservatives' period in office.

Today that changes with Louise Casey.
