Yesterday, the APPG on Smoking and Health held an event on this very issue.🚭
Parliamentarians gathered to take action on the ‘litter & lies’ of cigarette filters. @katieeast.bsky.social shared her research on the health harms, and Dr Bas Boots explained the environmental problems caused by filters🌍
📢📊New data from Action on Smoking and Health, published yesterday, shows that only 25% of people know the truth about filters; they are a marketing tool created by the industry that provide no health benefits to smokers! 🚭
