We're not going to detox a poison past overnight. Yes, recovery takes the time it takes, & yes, our trauma conditioning is going to try to get us to say "f*ck it." Our job is to not overreact when we get the "f*ck it's," & stay present w/ ourselves as we slowly clear the venom.

Maybe it makes perfect sense that you'd be irritable & exhausted after carrying what you've been carrying for as long as you've been carrying it. Maybe that's not a "mood disorder"-- maybe that's the normal human response to long term complex traumatic stress, not "pathology."

"They" are going to try to convince you you are "responsible" for their emotional reactions-- because "they" are not working a recovery. Those of us who are working our trauma recovery know, & remember, that we cannot "make" anyone feel anything or "control" anyone's behavior.

As a rule in trauma recovery, if you're calling yourself names like "stupid" or "lazy," you've lost the plot. Push pause, back up, & gently re-engage w/ yourself in a way that doesn't echo your bullies & abusers.
