Into the Vortex was the 2021 MKAL with Yarn O’clock. The original used RiverKnits Chimera & Nene 4ply yarns on 4.5mm needles (bottom right on 2nd pic). I think it’s also working up really nicely on RiverKnits DK Chimera & WYSpinners Fleece on 5.5mm needles.

Ice Diamond Mitts were originally designed following a request from Anne at @yarnoclock2 to create a pattern using a worsted weight roving yarn.

They are long mitts which extend past the wrist keeping you cosy despite the lacy design.

I started reading The Magical Knitting Pattern Book by Tian Connaughton last night & finished it this today.

It was exactly the book I needed to read right now - set around knitting with wonderfully warm characters & an intriguing mystery too!

Highly recommend!

My Little Orme Hat is part of the Little Orme Collection. The mitts came first (I’ll show you those tomorrow), and were followed by the hat and the cowl after a customer expressed an interest in matching accessories.

Nubble Mitts was the first mystery knitalong I created for @yarnoclock2. Using 2 colours of 4-ply @cambrian_wool the pattern is based on slipped stitches and a tuck stitch pattern that creates a really cosy fabric that also happens to be to look great on both sides!

Nubble Hat quickly followed.

If you want a more dramatic look to your Petulia shawl, why not make the large asymmetrical version? This shaping of the shawl is included in the pattern, using the same leaf motif as the smaller shawl, just in a different way so the shawl gets gradually wider and wider over a longer period. 1/2

Petulia is a lacy brioche shawl designed using two gorgeous yarns from RiverKnits UK, Chimera and Nene 4ply. The leaf shape is used throughout, with the changing number of leaves in each row creating the shaping of the shawl. 1/2

if you have come to any of the yarn shows I've exhibited at, it's quite likely you'll have seen my Meg March Shawl.

It's the largest of the March Brioche Shawl Collection and it's one of my favourite shawls, partly because it's so big, squishy and cosy. 1/2

Jodie Scarf is a slip stitch scarf design in 3 colours of DK yarn. Two pattern blocks repeat with different combinations of the colours so you don't get bored! It's quite a long scarf so it can be wrapped around your neck securely and has a third slip stitch pattern at the ends of the scarf. 1/2

My Aquilegia Shawl design is the ideal shawl to be wrapped up in on a cold day and it’s keeping me cosy at my desk right now.

Worked using DK yarn, you can either work the chevron stripe pattern as given with its stripes that follow the Fibonacci sequence…
