Simply trying my best to touch grass and make things with my hands.
Put a wig on this sweet judgmental potato and brought a smile to my face. #dogs

I’m currently celebrating that I’ve made it onto the sleeves of my sea glass sweater, while also mourning the fact that I’ll have to figure out what to do with hundreds of ends once I get off of sleeve island.

Oh the challenges we knitters make for ourselves!

Are you team braid or weave?

Simply sitting here with my dog, praying I can keep my heart soft today and in all the days to come.

Dinner at Curry Corner on Nolensville Road last night - absolutely delicious! I hate that we were the only diners in the place so giving it a boost here - gotta spread the good!

This is so cool. I would love to see her work in person.

“I hope that when I die, my body says that I danced, enjoyed the warmth of the sun on my face, and loved both squats and french fries.”

Alua Arthur in Briefly Perfectly Human.

Same. Just started this book, and already it’s a recommend.

Tell me I’m not the only one who gives trees a mental pep talk before a rainstorm hits.

You are loved. You are important. Your roots run deep and wide. You can hold on. You’ve got this. 🌳🤍

Good morning from (King) Henry 🐱, who felt like posing for his portrait on the mountain that is my legs.

I’ve lost count of how many pairs of Hermione’s Everyday Socks I’ve knit over the years. However today I finished a pair in my favorite color in my current favorite sock 🧶(Amble by The Fibre Co.) so I’d say that this day is starting off cozier than many.

May you also find moments of warmth today!

Surely I can’t be the only American watching British mysteries who thought women detective leaders are called “mum”? Because I was today years old when I learned they’re calling Vera “ma’am” 😬

Simply sharing a moment that made me smile:

A dog in a stroller, eagerly shopping for antiques. Is he eying the cat?! Classic!

Cookbook authors/recipe creators who are neurodivergent should share that info (if they feel so called). As a former same foods only person, I totally trust the combination advice of others who were also likely picky eaters. Those who have always been adventurous eaters? Not so much.

Sometimes you gotta look up #fungifriends

Can you help me identify this 🍄? I came across this in Middle Tennessee in early November, high up on a dead tree. My guess was that it’s an oyster variety but I’ve never seen ‘em quite like this!

Finished object!

It’s the improv scrap rope basket I decided to sew yesterday. Originally intended to hold shoes, it’s finished size makes me think it’ll be better loved as as a yarn/project basket.

The craftmanship is far from perfect on this piece - and so I’ll happily call it art!

First frosty day of the season here. Breakfast has swapped to a warm hug made up of peanut butter and jelly oats.

Let me introduce you to oats (cooked on a stove, ideally using a wooden spoon), peanut butter, raspberry preserves, and seeds/nuts that provide a pleasant crunch.

Yum. Onwards.

In today’s AuDHD fueled creative endeavor, I attempt to sew a basket using fabric rope made from old bedding I hoarded for years!

Why? The spiral 🌀 started because I didn’t have a place to neatly put my shoes by the backdoor.

(Here’s where I am so far)
