Writer, marketer, comedian, musician, volunteer, mom, and should not have been surprised by my late in life ADHD diagnosis.
My absolute favorite baby toy was recalled after about 30 families reported a child getting their arm stuck in a part and experiencing mild abrasions.
Guns are the leading cause of DEATH among children. Period.
When will they be recalled?

Americans do not want to live under a military state, that was never the American dream. Our country was founded on the promise of liberty, not soldiers patrolling our streets. The Constitution is clear: the military does not police civilians.

9yo, after Frodo puts the Ring on inside Mount Doom: “That was the stupidest thing you could have done. And I’ve read Harry Potter, so that’s saying something.”

My 9yo is the only girl in “Gaming Club” at school, for kids who stay in during recess & play board games.
Part of me: WTF is the school letting my kid opt out of fresh air?!
The other part: With her love for rules, math, & bossing people around, get this kid a D&D campaign. Child was born a DM.

I will canvass, call, send letters, sage the statehouse, learn hexes, anything for Amy Acton 2026, but at my core I have little faith that Ohio will ever put a Democrat in the Governor’s seat, less so a WOMAN. That would cause irrevocable testes-clutching.

We Americans sure like to confuse “safety” with “comfort.”
Me challenging your indoctrination is uncomfortable.

7yo: Mom, do you have to pay for medical stuff?
Me: Yes.
7yo: That’s stupid.
Me: Why?
7yo: Because homeless people don’t have money. What are they supposed to do?

If the school isn't good enough for your child, why should it be considered good enough for any child?
EdChoice vouchers do not provide freedom of choice in education as long as private schools still have freedom of choice in student admissions.
A rare moment when I'm not ashamed to be from Ohio.

Cincinnati came thru. Three generations, honoring the spirit of our matriarch who marched plenty in her day (and even got in a fight at a rally). #noKingsDay

It’s getting scary yall. Protest on Saturday.
Here's another angle from Fox News reporter Bill Melugin of Sen. Alex Padilla getting roughed up by law enforcement after he tries to question Kristi Noem at her presser:

“I’m Senator Alex Padilla. I have questions for the secretary. Because the fact of the matter is, a half dozen... Hands off!”

Watching Empire Strikes Back
9yo: How does he not know that’s Yoda?
Dad: He’s never seen him before!
9yo: I guess.
Dad: But of course once he knows, I’m sure he’s like, “No, Duh.”

My gas pump video is telling me about Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Does this mean Shell loses its government subsidies for perpetuating DEI and identity politics?

My dad worked for Hallmark as I grew up in the 90s, aka Mary Engelbreit Era. Teacher’s gifts = ME calendars. Kitchen decor = ME cherries. Christmas ornaments. THE artist for suburban yt women.

She’s selling anti-dictator mugs w/ TFG’s face. Not what I expected in this timeline, but I’ll take it.

What if our America is not dead but a country still waiting to be born? What if the story of America is one long labor?"

My spouse and I share accounts, but as the partner with better credit, most are in my name. As the 9-5 job partner, I feel very bad when my husband tries to handle customer service issues during the day and they insist on speaking to the account holder. As a feminist, it’s delicious.

He kissed me for the first time under the stars on a moonlit night…and I promptly *burst into tears* and babbled about how I was getting attached & if he wasn’t also getting attached, he should walk away.

We’ve been kissing for 20 years since.

There is someone out there for you.

The richest man in the world spent more money than most of us will see in our lifetimes to lose a state Supreme Court race by 10 points.

And the fact his $25 million was a drop in the bucket compared to what he's spent on other elections is exactly why we must overturn Citizens United.

Whoever created the rule that we can drop b0mbs in other countries and not have it be considered w4r because Congress didn’t “declare” it…and the people that agreed that was a good idea…I hope they are on a special 17th level of hell.
