This is my new friend Dot! We adopted her from our local shelter a couple weeks ago. She's around 4 years old and a bit sassy. We are happy to give her a comfortable forever home.

Butterflies I’ve always
wanted to ask–

what windspeed
can you tolerate?

And where do you
go in the rain?

Cool study from @bikewaysto.bsky.social detailing a traffic count on Bloor Street taken on June 11 with a camera at 412 Bloor West. During the peak of the afternoon rush, bikes outnumbered cars.

I repeat: bikes outnumbered cars.

Recent painting I made in memory of Pistachio. This was for my Easter fundraiser drawn winner. We decided to depict Pistachio with his favourite things, his bed, stacking cups, banana and his mum's slippers. ❤️

New data from Toronto Community Bikeways Coalition counts about 15K cyclists on Bloor West (near Bathurst) during a cold week in Feb. At one point, during a Monday rush hour, cyclists were 22% of all road vehicles. static1.squarespace.com/static/5f07a... (PDF)

Toronto friends, keep your eyes out for this BS.
Ford promised bike lane removals could happen today onward in TO (Bloor W, Yonge, & Uni). That means we’ve got to be vigilant & have our eyes open. If you see construction crews amassing to remove lanes, post/tag local cycling orgs & advocates. Send pictures. Be safe & don’t interfere.

I’m finally getting my multi-week handbuilding class! I know my audience here isn’t as local to Toronto as my IG following is, but if you could boost/share I would be so grateful! I really want to teach this class!!

We’ll be spending more time refining and decorating than in a one off workshop.

An injunction hearing will be held at 10 AM today to stop the Ford government from removing bike lanes on Bloor, University & Yonge until @cycletoronto.bsky.social's court challenge gets heard next month. Fingers crossed. 🤞 #BikeTO #TOpoli #ONpoli www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

A little fly algaric mushroom and snail I painted a little while ago in water colour and gouache. Had lots of fun mixing reds and greens to make different tones in the leaves.

We had to say goodbye to Rumsey. Rumsey's life with us was full of love, couch binkies and comfort. We will miss her so much, but are happy to have known her. she passed away peacefully.
