Tasted this Cameronbridge 28 yrs the other evening. I think this was the 200th anniversary release, bottled at 45%. I love old single grain #whisky and particularly like #Cameronbridge. Tried to find out the RRP of this bottling, released in 2024, & all I can find online is £350 🫣 Surely not?!

Research for my 2nd book is well underway. Not sure I can write about those that built the #Scotch #whisky industry into what it is today without finding out as much as I can about them. Hence, this branch of the Greenlees family tree. It's complicated though - quite a few cousins marrying cousins 🤯

The grain element = rye #whisky matured in cognac casks
Some of the single malt was matured in red wine casks; some in ex-bourbon
