I had 240p internet quality up till 2021 so this whole social media thing is a struggle for me. Mostly here just to find things to model.
Also maybe this is the sleep depravation or the wine talking but I think it real nice when artists do things outside there comfort zone even if it ends up not looking as good as there normal art, Like more dynamic poses or different mediums for example.
Messy art is still art at the end of the day.

This will be the last W.I.P post till it finished, so a bit more rambling than normal.
Both character are done now, and I'm working on the background now. It mostly going to be my imagination for the background so here hoping I don't break character cannon somehow.

Got most of the texture work done on the second character now. Still need to add some more detail, finish the 2d face rig, and smooth my bump map. But I think it coming along nicely.
After all that I be working on the background then the rigging/animating.

Figured I post a update since It been about a week, and I'm trying to remember to post regular updates on projects.
First character almost done so I'm about 30% done with the modeling.
That leaves the second character and the background.
I think it looking nice so far. Feedback is always appreciated

It been a bit but i'm back to my normal haunt of blender at 3 am so here a w.i.p.
Was originally going to wait for the artist to post a side view of their character but my insomnia been acting up so might as well be productive.

The artist has a lot of nice designs so I might try to model another one in the future once I practice a bit more.
(Also Fair warning I try my hand at composting so the glare might be a bit too strong)

Well my insomnia came back so i'm back in blender.
Here a wip of what I'm currently modeling.
I figure out how to do frills just in time for blender to announce a way easier way to make them in 5.0...
Also character has a round head so I'm struggling to figure out how to make a face that look good.

A low poly-ish @drheartsuccess.bsky.social since they were kind enough to point me in the direction of some drawing resources a good while back.

Years of being deleted by modelers might have made the default cube a little angry.

Slight side tangent but man every time I look at a ps2 game for research I'm always way more impressed than modern games.
Also I do miss when square put out good games.

Welp after 2 years I finally hit 1000 hours in blender, I'm fairly happy about that. I read somewhere it take 10,000 hours to be a master at something so 10% there!
Anyway I want to post some screen shots of my old crap models for inspiration for other people to give blender a try.

So, quick question.
Does anyone know of any good videos on digital coloring/art?
I'm trying to get a better understanding of it so I don't have to use so many procedural materials. most of the one's I seen focus more on shadows then color blending.

Messing around with shaders again. So here a low poly pixelated shimonada station.
