A must read for everyone in the space bubble - and maybe outside as well:
Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA), top Democrat on Senate Commerce Cmte, is out with a Democratic staff report: "The Destruction of NASA's Mission: Whistleblowers Reveal OMB's Unconstitutional Plot to Gut the Agency."

Thread worth reading - probably not only for US-Americans. Should be a wake-up call for tendencies rising elsewhere as well. And I fully include my own country.
While I’m waiting on my flight, I thought I’d share a story. Yesterday I had lunch with two NASA colleagues. One is Laotian, the other Cambodian. Both came here as children with their families to flee oppressive regimes. Both are naturalized Americans and federal employees just like me. /1

Remembering Glynn Lunney, who died #OTD four years ago in 2021. One of the best Flight Directors NASA ever had and also a great personality, a very humble human being, highly respected and valued by everyone who knew him. Godspeed Black Flight, you will be missed forever!

The other reason most likely is that they are not sure if Endurance will be ready in time. There were doubts about this from the beginning, hence the references to spacecraft readiness, FRR in first announcement. Some internal mission ops voices apparently said "April" without cutting corners...
NASA has backed off from plans to hold a pair of news briefings Monday for the upcoming Exp. 73 missions to the ISS, with the Crew-10 mission briefing delayed to at least March 7. No reason given, but maybe NASA doesn't want to talk about the ISS right now…

Remembering the Challenger crew #OTD of this tragedy in 1986: Commander Dick Scobee, pilot Mike Smith, mission specialists Judy Resnik, Ellison Onizuka, Ron McNair, and payload specialists Greg Jarvis and Christa McAuliffe. The lessons learned from this accident should never be forgotten again!

#OTD in 1967 - astronauts Gus Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee lost their lives in the Apollo 1 fire. A constant reminder that space exploration is hard and requires a lot of dilligence and the courage of people saying "stop", when "Go fever" is taking over.

Remembering Black Flight Glynn Lunney on his birthday #OTD in 1936. One of the best and sharpest Flight Directors NASA ever had and a very nice and humble person at the same time. His shift on Apollo 13 just after the accident is still considered as the most impressive ever in Mission Control.
