There are plenty of actual things happening with the US government to promote fear/frustration, so it’s discouraging to find some of the posted vial or stupid quotes/actions attributed to government players are not actually true. It only takes a minute to investigate content before sharing.

Read a book and then read a few reviews. One discounted it as ‘trauma porn.’ It was about a woman drawn into an emotionally abusive relationship. I’m wondering if I’ve read a book that wouldn’t be considered ‘trauma porn.’ Fiction level conflict is often traumatic, isn’t it? #writingcommunity

Writing a blurb has no business being so hard. Everything feels like I'm trying to channel movie trailer guy.

"In a world where the only thing between a book and a willing reader is the blurb on the back, sassywrites has to find her way through a morass of blurby cliches."

Read a blog post from an agent (2022) about how most women’s fiction submissions don’t have high enough stakes. If the stakes are purely emotional, the story is ‘in trouble.’ I like to read/write character driven, mostly interior stories. Is this type of story doomed? #writingcommunity

Sometimes I’m annoyed by things my husband spends money on, but I paid for a class about how to write love scenes, so I guess we’re even 🤷‍♀️ #WritingCommunity #writerslife #Romancelandia

Any tips on turning off the inner perfectionist voices? Struggling to get a first draft going - first time in a couple of years with all new characters, story, etc. I love revising and had forgotten how paralyzing getting those first words written can be 👩‍💻📚🤦‍♀️ #writingcommunity #romancelandia

Anyone else sleep better when they get a bit of writing done? If I take too much of a break, my characters WILL NOT stop talking when it’s time to sleep… #romancelandia #writingcommunity #amwriting
