The former conservative lawyer built a social media following with his harsh criticism of Trump, who was the boss of his wife at the time.

What a relief! I was beginning to worry there was actually a criminal in the Oval Office. Dear Leader has certainly put those worries to rest.
He’s panicking.

Democrats "blocked" this bill by ... not voting for it.

No dirty tricks or sneaky moves, they just didn't vote for a GOP bill. It needed 60 votes to pass, 53 Reps and 2 Dems voted for it.

That, according to the broken Washington Post, means Democrats Are To Blame even though the GOP runs it all.

In any other country, if federal agents fired upon journalists when unprovoked — what would we call it?

If federal agents marched down streets demanding papers — what would we say?

Authoritarianism — let’s not pretend it’s something else when it happens in our American cities.

'We're scared, and we are worried:' Listening to Nashville's Jewish community in a time of hate
In a world where hate has become a powerful force in American society, one group of Middle Tennesseans may know as much as anyone about dealing with that hate.

Interesting idea actually
Suggestion: A strike of musicians, writers, hosts, actors, lighting, electricians--everyone, shutting down all TV studios, until Jimmy Kimmel is reinstated.

This is the kind of action we need, instead of sitting around just waiting to be gutted.

Our timeline is so stupid.
“It may sound insane to hire someone to train your teenage daughter to talk to other teenage girls, but sorority rush, especially in the South, is a major undertaking,” Annie Joy Williams writes:
What It Costs to Be a Sorority Girl
Parents hire coaches for all sorts of extracurriculars; why not to train their daughters to make friends?

If what we hope will happen ever happens, we'll watch as many, many people in the world of politics, overnight, go on to pretend they were always against what preceded it. This era has been a highly effective acid test for character. Take notes now, so that you don't forget in the future.

One reason this myth won't die is for the same reason that quantification afflicts so much of social science: Intellectuals want to believe that problems are *fixable*. If you improve the economy, you get more enlightened voting.
It's not true, but dealing with ideas and biases is just too hard.
“Swing voters are just responding to their material conditions” does indeed seem obvious to many people, which is why it’s widely accepted as conventional wisdom DESPITE THERE BEING ESSENTIALLY NO EVIDENCE IT’S TRUE. That’s the whole point: people find it pleasurable to believe and don’t question it
it’s not so much “i understand something secret” as it is “you weirdly refuse to accept something obvious to everyone else.”

there aren’t many actual swing voters and this accounts for a decent chunk of them. real mystery why people find you annoying as hell 🤷‍♂️

The rules, if you are keeping track:

If a single left activist anywhere in the world says "defund the police," it becomes the official position of the Democratic Party, now and forever.

If the president's top surrogate repeatedly sieg-heils on stage, it's ambiguous, impossible to interpret.
