Don't Lose Your Sh*t At Work
www.karenthrall.com/book
Do you have those moments where you're in the right place at the right time, hearing exactly what you needed, and you can feel something major shift inside you? I have a few of those. One in particular was with a therapist. I write about it in my upcoming book.

My co-author, Dr. Joseph Shrand: Psychiatrist, author, Chief Medical Officer, lecturer at Harvard Medical School etc! His book, "Outsmarting Anger" is a phenomenal resource. I asked if he'd be willing to co-author. I'm so honored to be partnering with him! More info: DM me #books #business

We lead best when we’re real. The healthiest changes in my professional life came from moments I fell short, set my ego aside, and owned it. I’m putting my mistakes to work so they help someone else. My inner sparkle steps up and wins. #business #leadership #mentor Info DM: book

Sometimes we don’t realize how much we’ve changed until life feels lighter on the inside. 2025 is that kind of year. New headshots, new #book, new peace. Don’t Lose Your Sh*t at Work reflects that journey. Learning, letting go, and feeling untroubled. #business #emotions

You can respect a coworker and still be bothered by how they handled something. To resolve doesn’t mean you have to suppress how bothered you feel. Don’t dismiss your feelings; find the wisdom; prepare your thoughts; have a shared conversation #books #business #emotions

It’s wild how life works. Back in 2014, I met Dr. Marshall Goldsmith after reading his book What Got You Here Won’t Get You There. Eleven years later, he’s endorsed our book. Truly a full circle moment. Profoundly grateful!!

Have you ever had someone apologize for the way they spoke to you, but it didn’t really help you get over it? A big turning point for me was learning that apologizing after I reacted wasn’t enough. An apology is a great first step, but it’s not the whole story. #business #emotions

Workplace conflict can stay with us longer than we expect. It's good not to burn bridges. I know this first hand...Time heals more than we think. The Future You will probably be in a better place. What once felt frustrating may not matter as much anymore. #books #emotions DM:BOOK

Have you ever been caught off guard by how strong your reaction was because of something that happened at work? (Maybe you voiced it, maybe you didn't, but it definitely pushed a button). Ya, me too.

Why is it that the hardest emotions we experience at work are often the ones we don't talk openly about? I only meant to write one chapter about my personal journey with, shall we say, “losing my sh*t.” What if someone else can relate? DM: BOOK #books, #business #emotions

What might you need to do that seems scary or makes you feel nervous, but deep down you know you'll regret it if you don't? This is one of those moments for me. My mentors said "No excuse, now's the time". What's the YES you're grappling with? For info DM: BOOK #books #stories #emotions #mentors

The shift from comfortable to uncomfortable. From “I should”➡️“I get to.” From “I’ll wait until…”➡️“Here I go.” What do you need to pick back up? I think it's fair to say that we've all got something we’ve put on pause. Mine was writing the book. 4 yrs of stalling, but not anymore.🙂 For info DM: BOOK

It is empowering to be able to own one's work and bring unique strengths to the table. In a trusted environment, independence isn’t just acceptable, it’s encouraged. The freedom to act confidently means contributing meaningfully to the collective success. #trust #autonomy #independence #success

Trust isn’t formulaic. There’s no simple “Do XYZ and trust will follow and then, ta-dah, autonomy.” Each team is unique and one of a kind. First, know how to earn the trust of your supervisor and teammates. Then, autonomy will follow naturally #autonomy #trust #teamwork #teams #management #leadership

If autonomy is the ability to make decisions and take actions independently, without heavy supervision - that's doable! That's trainable. Stay tuned for 5 video shorts on 'how'.

Sometimes the hardest part is knowing you're capable but still feeling hesitant. It's natural to hesitate before stepping into the unknown. Boldness isn't about waiting for certainty - it's about trusting in your ability despite uncertainty. #shakespeare #boldness #confidence #leadershipdevelopment

This may look like a contradiction to the previous post. It's a paradox. Both can exist at the same time. You can be clear about what you want and unclear about the unknown. That's where boldness steps in. #professionaldevelopment #leadershipdevelopmet #bold #determination #confidence #determination

Willing to say yes is the hardest part of any decision. If you only had two options, either to say yes or no, would you regret saying no later in life? When you're 96, will you say, "I don't know why I didn't at least try."
