TBF, the only movies I saw of the "big ones" for the Oscars were Dune 2 and Conclave and I wanted Conclave to win so bad, but alas.

Good for Sean Baker though!

In a time when many of us feel like flipped tortoises helplessly bicycling our stumpy legs while the nukes detonate, building communities, connecting with people, saying loudly & explicitly 'I am here, let's talk, I will listen to your victories & struggles' is huge & makes a meaningful difference.

I watched Casablanca again and found myself more taken in by Victor Laszlo being a stalwart underground leader than I was by Rick Blaine being a flippy floppy liberal (at first). I get it bro.

Also watching Casablanca in 2025, knowing they made it in 1942 when they weren’t sure what would happen…

Extremely late to the Fontaines D.C. party but enjoying the sprawling guitar chords, kind of like providing the bright grey undertones to the fog in a cold and expansive pine forest.

(It’s good writing music)

The Holocaust was one of the darkest chapters in human history, yet Holocaust denial and distortion have gained ground online in recent years. UNESCO’s newest guide, created with ISD and Austria’s Education, Science and Research Ministry, helps teachers address the Holocaust. Read it below.

This is my periodic rant that Apple Intelligence is so bad that today it got every fact wrong its AI a summary of @washingtonpost.com news alerts.

It's wildly irresponsible that Apple doesn't turn off summaries for news apps until it gets a bit better at this AI thing.
