HEY SO! Turns out there's a pretty big detail hiding in plain sight I haven't seen anybody notice or mention. I've already posted about how weird this moment is, Denji's response clearly shows that he ate Yoru's allies, but if so what gives? Where are they?

Ok but how fucked would it be if Locust's headless corpse just got up and kept fighting. Death no longer exists after all, and we've seen Locust fight while being basically decapitated.

Chainsaw Man prediction: that bug guy was the Pain Devil. The locusts released in Revelations were not allowed to kill, only to inflict unimaginable torture. In a world without pain or death, Yoru will be unable to show dominance, and thus wont "win" even when an opponent is incapacitated

It feels like the fandom consensus is that Mree guy was imitating a cicada, but what if he was imitating a different animal instead?

I’m on the fence about whether Yoru purposely brought Asa out or if Asa got frightened enough to push her out

But, more importantly, if Asa is experiencing everything Yoru’s experiencing first person this raises serious questions about the whole “slice Yoru up until she surrenders” thing

Denji has Yoru's allies strapped to him when he begins eating the pawns. Then a pawn Denji eats is lampshaded as "not important to this world". When Yoru intercepts Denji, her allies are gone. But we saw every devil Denji ate, he didnt eat her allies. Then Denji goes to hell and the devils are gone.

Revelation 9 (paraphrase)
"Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them."
chat someone tell me if this is good

Getting back into Pratchett with Going Postal, and he is so damn good at quickly setting up great main characters. I've barely even gotten into the book and I'm already sold on Moist as the protag.

Asaden fans: "I can't believe how much Denji loves Asa, they are so perfect for each other :)"
The scene they are posting about:

Aging devil has been eaten before. Death eats devils when they are turned into pawns. Denji is currently eating Death's pawns. The story has already questioned what will happen when Aging is eaten, set up a contract that occurs when Aging is eaten, and set up how the Aging Devil *tastes*

What an awesome chapter, following up Yoru's shonen hero schtick by having Denji act like a villain is great. Killing the people she cares about to hurt her and giving her the classic "we're not so different" speech.

Other than some of Yoru's allies, the one devil I really think that Denji will eat is Aging Devil. Nothing about the contract actually prevents Denji from eating Aging, it just stops Aging from forcing it. And the question of what erasing Aging would do has already been raised by the story.

Bringing back jeannesfangs's theory here to point out that the moment Pochita (who wasn't part of the Aging contract) switches out control to Denji (who was), Yoru's bang fails to do any visible damage whatsoever.

Is it weird that this page is the biggest reason why I think Nayuta will come back into the story? Because Fujimoto loves to set a promise, then develop it in a more fucked up way that still satisfies the promise (the plan to break Denji's contract, "worst possible way... for the chainsaw boy").

I'm working on a Chainsaw Man theory post about the Weapon Devils being Yoru's lost children. But I'm honestly having trouble writing the thread because it feels too self-evidently true. It baffles me how rarely I see the theory talked about.

"i commit violence - makima likes me.
i commit violence - the public likes me.
i commit violence - yoru likes me.
i commit violence - asa likes me?"

whatever world this boy makes isn't going to be very good i think

oh. aha. ahahaha. I think I have it.

what if the event that causes a fear of death to suddenly explode is humanity remembering that death exists.

Some notable things in regards to Death Devil's plan.
1. Despite Death saying that Yoru wanted to erase her, Yoru is immediately unhappy with the development
and
2. Despite Death saying she is trying to find a way to kill herself to save humanity, Yoru says that's exactly what activates her powers

I think one of the reasons Chainsawman feels honestly more human and mature than a lot of anime/manga is that it is deeply unashamed.

Like on a way that it wasn't present in the medium for a long time.

It allows their characters to actually, truly, be fucking messes, that fuck up like ugly.
