Let's be clear: this is an attempt to erase trans people from existence. The policy itself is going to kill kids, and it's not many steps from this to things like banning gender affirming care for adults, designating transness itself a mental illness, etc etc.
Under the proposed rule issued by the Trump Administration today, any Medicare- or Medicaid-participating hospital would be barred from providing gender-affirming care to *any child*, even if the care is not paid for by Medicare or Medicaid.

One of my most infuriating medical experiences was when I had 4 plantar warts and removing them was only partially covered by insurance (UHC lol) so each of the 6 or so treatments cost $200-500. Should I send a photo of the warts to every Republican who thinks a $1000 yearly HSA is enough y/n

I have so much respect for the @nwslplayers.bsky.social but to me this misses the point. The issue isn't that the attacks on specific NWSL players are factually incorrect (they are); it's that the hysteria and bigotry around trans, intersex, and gender nonconforming athletes hurts all women
