Grâce aux observations citoyennes, il est désormais possible de suivre la dynamique d’espèces sauvages. C’est ce démontre une étude menée par Natagora et le CNRS. En développant un modèle statistique capable d’analyser les données encodées par le grand public tout en réduisant les biais, les chercheurs ont mis en évidence une chute de 12 % de l’aire de répartition du lézard vivipare en Wallonie en à peine 14 ans.

In Wallonia (BE), only 1,3% of the territory is under strict nature protection regime. The new regional government is committed to reaching 5% by 2030, but at the same time is cutting in half the budgets for acquisition of land to set up nature reserves. Find the error. #Conservation #biodiversity
