It was an honor to be invited to present at the PMEA conference today in Pocono Manor, PA. I’m grateful that so many people braved the April snow this morning to join us for this morning, and I hope I have those in attendance some inspiration to bring back to their classrooms on Monday

Like most Americans, I’ve been paying into social security since I was a teenager. If they think I’m going to be quiet and sit here behaving myself while they try to strip away MY money, they’re severely mistaken
Musk plans to fire 7,000 Social Security Administration employees while calling Social Security “the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time.” However, Americans have paid into the system their entire working lives!

I have never been more ashamed to be an American than I am today. Between this horrific display in the Oval Office and the ongoing systemic erasure of women, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community, our nation sinks further into shame on a daily basis. It’s way past time to stop this

About a month and a half ago, I bought a two pack of 18 eggs (3 dozen) for about $7.00 at the Coralville Walmart. Today, that same two pack is $16.18. Good thing so many people were willing to flush democracy down the toilet to more than double the price of eggs.
