I don't know what is wilder about this story, that Musk and his DOGE gang were able to force their access classified information, or that they are shutting down a major way that the US provides humanitarian aid as a way to save money rather than raise taxes on the rich or cut defense spending.
It will probably only get picked up in the Pacific media, but gutting USAID will drive migration from Palau, Micronesia, and Marshall Islands towards Guam, Northern Marianas, Hawaii and the rest of the country
