One of the first stories I ever wrote for money was for a trade magazine called Dermatology Business Management. It was a feature on FSA/HSA back when they were new. Every public health person I talked to was like "bad idea, also badly designed." That was like 20 years ago.
"A development that appeared to break the logjam: Republicans proposed that healthcare funding be provided directly to households rather than used to pay for a 1-year extension of ACA subsidies. That involves sending federal money into FSAs instead of insurance companies" www.wsj.com/politics/pol...
Republicans Pitch Alternative to ACA Extension to End Government Shutdown
A proposal by GOP senators to send money directly to consumers’ health accounts rather than to insurance companies showed signs of breaking a stalemate on negotiations.

Still reconciling myself to the fact that George Santos celebrated his prison release by partying at the hibachi place in the Poconos (Desaki) where I've taken my girls at least annually for over a decade and they make balloon animals and yes I've caught the zucchini and they make onion volcanoes.
George Santos Settles Down (for Now)
Back at home with his husband and their pet macaws, the infamous Republican says prison changed him.

BREAKING: Pope Leo XIV is set to effectively disband Opus Dei in the coming weeks.

This would be the most sweeping internal reform of his pontificate — and a dramatic continuation of Pope Francis’s legacy.
NEW: Pope Leo Set To Break Up Opus Dei
If Pope Leo does indeed approves a plan that effectively dissolves Opus Dei’s structure, it would be the most significant internal action of his short pontificate to date.

US farmers are saying they "just need temporary help, until things get better."

Here's the thing. US farm exports- which are mostly soy- CANNOT get better.

Other countries expanded their soy industries to fill China's demand.
