its crazy how much better at "prompting" I am versus a few months ago

it shouldn't be called "prompting". it should just be called "working with" LLMs

1.0.0 is never good
only by 1.1.1 do things usually start shaping up.

this exact same thing has happened for multiple apps I've shipped

it always takes a few major changes, and a patch or two before I am happy with it

I feel anxious whenever I’m not building

Like I should have agents churning constantly

Anyone else feel like this lately?

So many distractions now, but I’m finally polishing up retrotype.ink to get ready for a 1.0 release

It still takes discipline to finish. The last 10% is almost tougher now that starting a new project is more enticing than ever

coding with agents should still require a deep focus on your vision and implementation strategy

you can't get lazy with it

I made an app for myself to ramble long voice memos, transcribe, and “fire and forget” to my agent in the cloud

My agent (built on Claude Agent SDK) processes todos, makes GitHub issues, and takes notes in Obsidian

It’s working incredibly well:

not now, self-doubt

we worked this out a while ago
you're not needed here

1. start voice memo, put phone in pocket and ramble for 10 minutes

2. (in background) transcribe, process by Claude Code to take action and extract ideas

the "touch grass" workflow

Mike Judge should remake Office Space for the AI-era. Just swap the fax machine and TPS reports with ChatGPT and everything else stays the same

AI will keep getting better at building software, but there’s always gonna be a human deciding how they want to interface with the computer.

I decided I only have a couple small-ish use cases for a personal agent, so I’d rather build my own rather than spend time maintaining ClawdBot

Might change in the future but for now I’m having fun and learning a lot building on top of Claude Agent SDK

We’ll see how it goes
