so, i'd been considering this for a while, after getting cold feet/fucking it up multiple times, but i finally ripped the band aid off.

i made a thing.

The flower from Mario Wonder is back, and in human form.

Retro, now would be a really good time to confirm that this man is eaten alive face first by a carnivorous plant within the first hour.

This plus Orange Slice potentially getting dragged for giving a consensual blowjob to an adult is maybe the greatest proof that Alanis Morissette hadn't seen shit yet.
it's so funny that alex jones was totally right about everything, the government is a bunch of drug-addled pedophiles and masked regime thugs are grabbing people off the streets, and now he has to pretend it's all a hoax

Naturally I have them all blocked but I wonder what they've let all those official government accounts skate with since they jumped on here.

TNA is trending, something extremely cool happened or something profoundly fucking dumb happened aaaaaand.....yep, it's the second option all right.
If I had to see this absurd, dopey finish to Mike Santana's reign, you have to see it too. 🤼

All they gotta do is not give it an asshole price, and it almost kicks the next Xbox down a well by default.

I think often about the story Fiona Apple once told about how hangong out in the same room with Paul Thomas Anderson and Quentin Tarantino while she was on coke was enough to make her quit doing coke.

Now imagine those two had no talent and were actively evil.

So yeah I reviewed Lumines Arise. This is basically gonna be place of calm for the next few years. Just an absolutely stunning evolution of an already excellent game.

Go read.

Good thread, and the final line is a a

We don’t use generative AI at Strange Scaffold and I can confirm that a *lot* of other studios are not—whether indie or AAA.

Get outta here with this normalization bullshit.

Still chipping away at a review, but y'all, Lumines Arise is absolutely FANTASTIC, and I've had recurring 2x2 block dreams for WEEKS because of it.

Oh THATS why I couldn't see anything else on my account except for Pluribus when I reviewed it. So much for my plan to finally finish Severance S2 this week.

Ugh.
I just learned Apple TV is ditching its almost utopian press platform where they made their entire catalogue available for journalists in favour of a case-by-case request system that will result in a heap of bureaucracy and me (and I imagine many others) taking much less of a gamble on their shows.

I mean, we all knew The Game Awards is basically two E3 presentations wearing a trenchcoat, and Geoff Keighley an empty, light, flaky Kojima Productions-branded phyllo dough shell of a man. But god damn.

I am once again begging y'all to elevate the DICE and BAFTA game awards above this shit.

Delightful.

But also, id pay hard cash to do Thanksgiving with Eddie Kingston, I don't care if he did just straight up bring a Tastykake from a bodega.
Thanksgiving! It's that one time of the year that we all Conglomerate with the people we love – and with the people who aren't as easy to love.

Join the AEW family for Thanksgiving Eve #AEWDynamite on TBS and Thanksgiving Day #AEWCollision on TNT, both streaming on HBO Max!

Thinking back on when Willow Nightingale was jobbing out 2-minute Ls for months, Julia Hart spent most of a year moping on stairs, and Harley Cameron was background eye candy for QT Marshall for months.

Anyway best of luck to Nixon and her shitbag girlfriend on their future endeavors, I guess.
Miranda Alize and Nixon Newell (Tegan Nox) refused to lose tonight against TayJay, per a PWInsider report. Working to confirm and get details.

They were replaced by Hyan and Maya World

I reviewed the first seven episodes of Pluribus. To the surprise of no one who's watched even one Vince Gilligan thing ever, it's phenomenal, more timely than it seems at the outset, and there is no excuse for Rhea Seehorn to not be swimming in Emmys next year.

Go read.
Vince Gilligan's #Pluribus is a hostile sci-fi utopia with a lot on its mind, and Rhea Seehorn makes it everyone’s problem. Read our review!

Taking this N7 day to offer a solemn prayer that Bioware live to see another year, that one day a great hero will once again earn the love of an Asari baddie without fear, censorship, or guilt. Amen.

I cannot state strongly enough that the answer to this is yes, there are SO MANY people who think like this, and get actively angry when a review actually dares to treat art more than just as a money vs fun equation.
do people really think reviewing a video game is the same thing as reviewing a refrigerator?

Can we measure the objective qualities of a video game against other similar products? Can we do a price/value breakdown? Should every video game review reveal the same collected data?
What is the purpose of a review? Is it not to inform whether something is worth you spending money/time on? Whether it’s a movie, a videogame or a saucepan that ought to be the goal, right? Would it be worthwhile getting the opinions of somebody who doesn’t cook about a $300 saucepan?

I could hazard a guess that the fact that Joe Lieberman didn't have stock in Sega, Midway, or Konami had something to do with it.
I seem to remember whole congressional hearings about the terrible destructive force that is violence in video games and yet, there is a very strange quiet about an unregulated technology that coaches people to suicide.
