The long offseason has finally come to an end, as Week 1 is mere days away from kicking off. Whether you aren’t comfortable with one of the tight ends you drafted, you’re in a deep or TE-Premium league, or any other assortment of reasons, you’re already in need of a replacement. Things will be a little tough, as 18 tight ends came off the board and are rostered in at least 40% of Yahoo leagues, but we’ll still mine for some gold, regardless.

Not every selection you make in a fantasy football draft will be a league winner and not every player you reach for while ignoring value will sink your season either. Despite that, you don’t want to leave too much value on the table as you head through your draft. I have picked out some of the running backs who are currently coming off the board too early. Because of perceived regression, too much competition in their backfield, or a lack of true week-winning upside, these are 2024’s most overvalued running backs. 2024 Overvalued Running Backs [subscribe]

Workhorse running backs are few and far between in today’s NFL, and the obvious ones are pretty easy to peg. Jonathan Taylor (73.7%) and Kyren Williams (73.7%) were the only two running backs in the league to top 70% of their respective teams’ rush attempt share in 2024, with Chuba Hubbard (68.1%) and Joe Mixon (66.9%) the only ones in the same ballpark. Those backs essentially comprised the entire “elite usage” tier of running backs who controlled the backfield throughout the season.
