Throwback photo, 40 years ago, 1985, when I co-managed a trashy gay bar on Oxford Street, Sydney. Exchange Hotel (now closed) , a beardless Brash with the beautiful Ginger Benson, barmaid to the Stars, enjoying a couple of late night staffies. We might have been trashy but we also had style!

Grey-headed fruit bat (flying fox) heading out on a feeding run at the golden hour, early evening with a red sunset, Surry Hills, Sydney. Looks surreal in this light. #NaturePhotography

The last time I was in the emergency room at my local hospital, they told me I had acute angina … “well thanks for the compliment but I haven’t transitioned yet, I still have my penis!”

With all this talk of Dutton preferring Kirribilli over Canberra, I think Melbournites may feel they’re missing out. I think the prime minister should also have a Melbourne residence at their disposal - a modest two bedder in Moonee Ponds perhaps? #KirribilliPete #Auspol2025

I have to agree with Trump on the Heard Island tariffs, penguins can be such bastards. Tax the fuck out of them.

We lost our darling BabyCat last night. She was sick for a couple of days but I didn’t realise how sick she was. Found her this morning & had a cry. Maude seemed unperturbed that her nemesis wasn’t moving. Such is life (& death). Having a wake tonight. Rest my little tigress.

Dutton has given a commitment that should he win the election he would dump his electorate of Dickson and move to the Sydney Harbour mansion to be closer to his mate, Justin Hemmes.

‪I think Senator Hume should stick to podcasting about how to make a gin & tonic, one of hospitality’s more difficult cocktails. ‬That’s her skill level.

A lot of people think the invention of the wheel was a milestone in the history of early civilisations but the real game changer was actually the invention of the axle. With axles came carts & other transport vehicles, the wheel was pretty useless without the axle.

John Howard was wheeled out the other day for a comment on the upcoming election and he had a bruise on his face. There was speculation he had a fall or Jeanette had a pop at him but I think it was freezer burn when he was defrosted.

Remember when the Liberals’ idea of freedom of religion was snorting crystal meth off a rent boy’s buttocks in the parliamentary prayer room? Allegedly!

Throwback to when I ran trashy gay bars. Brash is the bloke on the right in glasses sans moustache. Guy on the left, was Chris Liston, my partner in crime, lover and co manager. We were a formidable hospitality team.

Trump signs the death warrant for the department of education. If you think Americans are stupid now, just wait for their next generation.

At this next election, you have to ask yourself if you want Australia to be governed by a political party headed by a Doctor Who villain or a human?

That time (9 years ago) the State Theatre put my name up in lights. I was in hospital with legionnaire’s disease. Very sick, spent five days in ICU.

I think it’s hilarious that the WA Liberals have done so well at the state election they made now become the official opposition in Western Australia. Labor has a swing against them yet still have a landslide result. WA politics are certainly interesting. #WAElection2025
