It’s tragic that when Democratic leadership needs a Nancy Pelosi, we are stuck with a Chuck Schumer. All that pain went for nothing because Schumer couldn’t hold his caucus together.

Giving in to a bully like Trump only encourages his cruelty. I will contribute money to the primary opponents of this crumble crew.

Even if you abolished ICE, another agency would emerge to enforce immigration and customs laws. We need to reconstruct ICE, with a clear set of limits on how they treat people. Sadly, Trump’s ICE has a toxic culture that rewards brutality.

Not to mention turning over campaigns to oligarchs with Citizens United and destroying the VRA piece by piece. He has secured his place in history as replacing Taney as the all time worst Chief Justice in history.

ICE actions were not so extreme under previous presidents. We need people to enforce immigration and customs laws. But we don’t need to dress them in masks and allow them to make warrantless arrests.

Good news. I hope he makes a full recovery. We never hear whether a survivor will have permanent damage from the bullets.

When my son or husband get sick, I make homemade chicken soup. When I am sick, I drag myself to the kitchen to make homemade chicken soup. At least it’s always good soup.

People reporting that the person who shot Charlie Kirk used a “high powered rifle” should realize that any deer hunter in Utah is likely to have the same rifle and most of them could have made that shot. No special sniper training needed.

I am sorry Kirk got murdered. But he was in fact a right wing influencer and lots of people in Utah are very right wing. Saying so is accurate, not divisive. I hope MSNBC rethinks this firing.

The second sorest loser in American politics. I will not forget his battle against Hillary Clinton after the nominee was decided. He is at his best as a Senate gadfly.

The premise is impossible. Compliments are what Trump lives for.

Technology becomes obsolete. Can you find a Zip drive or a computer that reads floppy disks? But you can read a 300 year old book.

Because Trump can call out his MAGA cult to throw out an incumbent in the primary. He can also call on his billionaire donors to flood the zone with ads and GOTV.

Is the rock band Kiss actually going to accept the Trump Center (dis)honor? Do they have that many MAGA fans?
August 14, 2025 at 1:41 AM
Under Citizens United a small band of billionaires can just buy Congress. And Elon Musk can dump a quarter billion into targeted districts to tip the presidency.

Note that blue states have been working to end gerrymandering until Trump ordered up more seats in red states. The most feasible solution is nonpartisan panels in all states. Best is abolishing the electoral college and direct presidential elections.

Serious question: how many republican men can ballroom dance? It’s gonna be an empty 90,000 square foot gold plated room.

Is the pattern available? Preferably on Ravelry. So cute and combines my two favorite things.
