I ignored my prof for so long that he got mad and made me study assembly 24/7.
Apparently, that's the reason for my sudden disappearance.
Just letting you know I'm still alive. Will make some games soon.

Alright, here are the #LudumDare results of my game "Out of Chalk"! As I've said before, I had no particular expectations, but having the 38th place for Mood is kinda cool - I'm in 5% of the most moody games! :)

Spent the last few days working on a thumbnail for my game "Out of Chalk"! My first try at high-resolution art - turned out surprisingly neat, I think.

The game is available on itch.io:

Someone posted a walkthrough of my game a few hours ago! It's the first time anyone's ever made a walkthrough of any of my games, so I consider it to be really cool, yeah! :D

Renamed the game from "Chalked Out" to "Out of Chalk". The new name feels more memorable and seems to spark more curiosity.

Thanks to a certain gamedev friend of mine for helping me decide ;)

I just realized I managed to complete two Ludum Dare jams in a row for the first time, which is actually really inspiring for me. I often struggle to come up with ideas that excite me enough to push through all the hard work it takes to finish them, but it seems like I'm getting better at it.

Just released my #LudumDare58 game on @itch.io!
It's a short experimental Sokoban with a touch of narrative about debts and black magic. Push spikes, solve puzzles, chalk pentagrams on the floor. You know, the usual stuff.

Try it if you're curious!

I keep adding events to Depth of Mind. I wanted actions to become a currency that can be exchanged for a reward, that's what happened.

And dont forget to wishlist Depth of Mind:

Making one game mechanic every week.

Week 3: JRPG-style character controller.

Moves in four directions, always walks a full tile - just like in classic JRPGs. Also animated that little guy for the demo :]

a friend of mine who's worked on a somewhat recent free multiplayer game says this about player feedback that I feel like is very astute

hearing the feedback is frequently important but responding to it well almost never means just doing what the players say they want

I'm kinda tired of all these gray squares on my page. I think I'll finally draw some nice art soon :D

Making one game mechanic every week.

Week 2: Deformable Terrain.

Can be destroyed and filled back in. Marching squares generate the mesh. Learned some cool stuff.

Ok, for the next week I think I'll make some "terraformable" mesh. I did some research - it involves so called marching squares. Sounds interesting.

It's Friday for me now, but I think I'll post the weekly mechanics on Saturdays from now on - it feels more convenient and logical this way.

Making one game mechanic every week!

Week 1: physical object dragging and throwing.

Tell me what I should try next. It would be great to have a list of cool ideas!

Finished a little jam game of mine. I had one week but spend half of the time discarding prototypes and juggling ideas. Got tired and made my very first game that I finished but didn't really like.
