There was abuse in my family, but it was mostly musical in nature.

Why, just this morning we were sitting on the front steps, watching cars slow for the speed bumps. A lovely early summer morning in Powderhorn Park.

A 40-Year Fight to Get Speed Bumps
Powderhorn Park fought for change for 40 years. After stop signs in the ’80s and four different mayors, they got their speed bumps — finally.

Delighted of course, to celebrate Pride. Vital question though, did any of you guys call yourselves Obergfellers after you got married?

Trump said MN Gov Walz was "Whacked out...a mess." I say Walz leads with honesty and compassion. I'll take open-hearted over a bully any day.

Why, just this morning we were sitting on the front steps, watching cars slow for the speed bumps and seeing bike commuters not terrified. A lovely early summer morning.
"Advocating for change can be a slow grind, but we got our speed bumps. Drivers seem a little more cautious when pedestrians are crossing and bikes are sharing the road. It’s a win for sanity and safety on our little corner of the urban grid."

#font people what the hell is going on with this 3? Is that an upside down E? Why are the numerals on Florida license plates so weird?

What does former MN Senator and carpetbagger Norm Coleman have to gain by toadying up and defending Hegseth?

CrimeW@tch Mpls creating fake profiles of Black people and pretending to speak for/as Black residents in South Minneapolis is some real next-level racist, nefarious shit.

Earlier this week, USDA cut more than one billion US dollars designated for schools and food banks to purchase from local producers. Fresh, local food grown and produced for K-12 schools and food shelves has been cut off from regional markets.

Mr President. Throwing our country into chaos is a weak man's way to compensate for his crushing fear...

Yes, it's personal and it's mean, that's the point. Julie's is just as angry and she skipped the personal insult. She wrote hers with a Dr's Without Borders pen 🔥

@johnsandford.bsky.social listening to Golden Prey and remembered that the great Richard Ferrone has passed and we won't have his voice guiding us through future Lucas and Virgil adventures. Especially pissed cause I can't tell him they're called "brahts", not "brats".

Welp, just like that the park across the street is brown, humidity in the house is comfortable, and walkways are slippery with mud and refrozen snow melt in the shade. Spring came quickly.

"Fascism always fails"
In light of everything happening, I wrote about how the KKK in the 1920s felt unstoppable, about the people that fought against them anyway, and about how fascism always fails. dansinker.com/posts/202…

Russia invaded Ukraine.
And by the way, Mr Trump, you are kowtowing to the leader of a former, and failed oligarchy, a weak leader.

Where are the voices of the Greatest Generation? Why are we not hearing a deafening chorus of elders demanding Trump honor the US history of fighting fascism?

We had a superb owl weekend. Went hiking after dark in the fresh snow on the path down to Fort Snelling. Two owls hunting flew right over our heads, paused on branches and craned their heads around. A few minutes later a rabbit crossed in front of us, ripping between cover like it was on fire.

As for Biden's legacy, I thought he was a better chess player than he showed us. I thought his master move was going to be to set up his successor to run in 24. After all his years working behind the scenes and pulling strings I was shocked this was not his main priority.
