Philip Low who was a long-time friend and peer of Elon Musk giving his thoughts on the current day version. Its distressing we live in a society which seems incapable of dealing with a private individual wielding this amount of power to the detriment of society as a whole.

Such an interesting episode, I had to listen twice and have saved it to come back to it in the future. Highly recommend.

@mcuban.bsky.social do you have any idea when SkySpaces will come online? There haven't been any updates from the Eng who said they close to launching over 2 months ago. People are asking for updates but not getting any responses. Communities really form around these spaces. bsky.app/profile/just...
SkySpaces - social audio / video for Bluesky will be returning soon. I’m excited to be able to work on the project again ❤️

This is a very clear explanation from @mmasnick.bsky.social of why everyone should be here, not over there. (Though I guess I should be posting this screenshot over there, not here.) www.techdirt.com/2025/01/27/e...

The ongoing technological advancements in AI should usher in an age of abundance. Our discussions should revolve around how we can collectively embrace and share in this future, rather than the fear that is currently being propagated.

Yann's view on DeepSeek is interesting. It would be amazing if we could see this kind of open sharing cross country pushing each other through inspiration and invention as each side builds and learns from the other. One can dream 🤷‍♂️

Agreed but social media takes this to a whole other level in terms of influence over 'democracies'. I recently read this great post on this topic.

The constant continued increase in seeing how far he can push the boundaries is really something to watch. Elon Musk completely believes he is above everything at this point.

It will be interesting to see as the smoke clears what AI will deliver this year. This period feels pivotal in terms of transforming the tech into applications. A complete spectrum of outcomes are on the table from the disappointing to the ridiculously crazy, optimistic outliers.

Just finished the TV series based on one of my favourite books by @praddenkeefe.bsky.social . 'Say Nothing' on Hulu does an incredible job at adapting this amazing book for TV. Highly recommend both.

On the Meta bots story. Agree with the outrage but reality is u probably already interact with a high number of bots on a daily basis. People are weirded out because they are overtly being shown this in these profiles. It should spark a wider conversation on how we create human only platforms!

I can't stop laughing reading through all the drama on twitter. The free speech absolutist, Elon Musk is now demonetizing accounts disagreeing with him.

Why are Republicans deserting farmers, seniors, veterans, and disaster relief?

Because Elon Musk said so.

They promised to put America first. Now, they're putting billionaires first.
