Yes!! I want to put down my phone and get more subscription s.
I do love my magazines.
I got out of the habit of reading magazines bc of the social pressure of writers reading what's trendy/popular or frankly expected of you.

This year, I've dedicated myself back to reading magazines and I'm truly having the time of my life.

I'm thrilled for the winners of the @writerstrust.bsky.social awards!

While awards for art is an emotional shitstorm for artists, audiences around the world base consumption on these random (objective, ha!) lists and I wish they wouldn't.

Read beyond the lists!

How are we going back in time?

“The misogynistic views harboured and perpetuated by the manosphere, channeled through social media and podcasts geared towards men, are entering young boys’ minds as “fact,” Carolo says.”
In the backlash to the Me Too movement, some undergrads are now entering university with fundamental beliefs “that blame women and the women’s movement…for the challenges that young men are experiencing in today’s society,” one violence prevention advocate warns.
What Happened to the Campus Me Too Movement? | The Local
Without enough brothers to fill their houses, some fraternities have begun renting rooms to non-students desperate for cheap rent. The results have been messy.

Why are we still okay pinning bits of single use plastic to our lapels?
The UK uses paper.
There are plenty of reusable options.
If the Canadian Legion doesn’t update their poppies we need to stop purchasing.

Finished Keriann McGoogan's SISTERS OF THE JUNGLE. I've been talking about it for days.
Not just a must read for geeky girls like me who want to know everything, but a fascinating study of trailblazing women primatologists. Sad reading Jane Goodall's chapter!
