The arrogance and irony of Cuomo trying to get Curtis Sliwa to drop out is that even if ALL of Sliwa’s voters voted for Cuomo, he still would not have won. I almost wish Sliwa got a huge payout so Cuomo’s loss could sting a bit more.

I’ve reached that magical time in every T1D’s year where my out of pocket max has been hit and I am just signing up for all the medical care that I have been putting off.

If you live in NYC and “ride” the subway it’s been a real shit show this week. This is not the week to be talking or even hinting about fare hikes. It’s the week to be pressuring Gov Hochul to INCREASE funding for the severely underfunded system.

As of today, Wordle is still free, but the bot is now behind the paywall. They kindly notified me that I am still subscribed to NYTimes Cooking, so I cancelled that, too. They asked for a reason why. Your Wordle bot reminded me I was still giving you money. Finally signing the divorce papers.

Over the last 1 1/2 years I have been focused on my health. Doing more cardio and weights, eating better. Lost considerable weight. I had to move DexCom from arms to stomach. This morning got the dreaded 3 dash reading.

Fit T1Ds: Any advice on DexCom locations?

At a restaurant Saturday night, we sat near a table of two mom’s with their teenage daughters asking about what concerts they’d want to go to. One daughter said THE MOUNTAIN GOATS!

I wanted to go geek out with that kid, but my husband told me I couldn’t.

The kids are alright.

On a subway platform an insulin pump is alarming. I check mine, no alarms active.

It goes off again. My husband says it’s mine. I look again - nope not mine.

“How is that possible?” he asked.

He was serious. He thought that it was unlikely for another Tandem pump on the same platform. 😳🤣

Does anyone else tell their cat the story of how you fell in love with them. I do the same to my kid and husband. This is normal, right?

This morning I was asked if I knew that the Elvis song “Hound Dog” was not about a dog. Yes, I said - it’s about a woman.

I have been wondering all day what other songs, stories and poems my husband has missed, because he is not very good at inferred meaning. 😳

I just saw a listing for Bob Mould, I love his music. Then I remembered…

The last time I saw Bob Mould perform it was an “Acoustic” set.It was an acoustic guitar, yes - but it was plugged in. I believe that was the night I hit my threshold for tinnitus.

Regrettably I have to pass.

UnitedHealth CEO was killed 30 days ago on December 4. Luigi is now on trial

Lancet reports that USA’s exploitative health system enables 68K preventable deaths ANNUALLY. 5589 Americans have died under this system since December 4. So—when do the CEOs who knowingly enabled these deaths go on trial?
