My colleague Shaun Walker attended the funeral of reporter Viktoriia Roshchyna in Kyiv today. She died alone and in unimaginable suffering, somewhere inside Russia, after being taken captive. Her body was returned in February and finally buried today 💔

Authorities have not given a reason for either arrest, Kloop said.

This week I've been writing about the death in Russian captivity of the Ukrainian journalist Viktoriia Roshchyna. She was tortured, she was just 27. And she was one of the 16k civilians Russia has abducted since 2022.

Viktoriia Roshchyna crossed the frontline to investigate one of Russia's least talked about war crimes - the brutal detention and torture of 16,000 civilians from occupied Ukraine.

She died in Russian custody, a victim of the horrors she had set out to expose.

Most of us know a friend or a relative who has lost money to online scammers.

What we didn’t know until now are that British citizens are targeted more than any other group. Canadians come second. Why? Because they are relatively wealthy and speak English.
