As expected, the CBO found that the Senate-passed bill to fix DC's treatment in the CR would cost the federal gov't $0, since DC's budget consists of locally-raised funds.
 
I'm calling on Speaker Johnson to bring the bill for a House vote.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

@schumer.senate.gov Hold the line. Now is not the time to concede. Vote NO on the CR. No one will remember that the government shut down - again - but we will remember that Democrats under your leadership did not fight.
