4 things EVERY basketball player need to get in their training in-season:

1. Sprinting consistently for hammies & speed maint.

2. Routine calf/ankle work

3. Use boxes to limit ground forces in jumps

4. Do what you aren’t on the court (loaded accels/max outputs/strength work)

Want a “quicker first step?”

-Do hill sprints

-Sprint with a heavy sled loads

-Lift heavy w/ smart progressive overload

-Improve/develop vector specific force

Pretty simple.

Basketball players, season starts this week/next week

Hell week will inevitably have you running/putting miles on your legs your body isn’t prepared for

Hit these isometrics after each session to have your body feeling GOOD

3-4x 45 seconds each

Good morning to everyone except those that still make their athletes wake up at ungodly hours to lift/workout

Sleep deprivation just for the sake of “grinding” isn’t a good enough sell

Let your athletes sleep and recover!

Good morning to everyone except those that still think you need to lift 2x your BW before having their athletes do plyometrics…

You’re sick and you need help

Preseason contrast training to round out the offseason 🏀

💭: load similar vertical pattern, load the jump, & parlay into max vertical jump

1. Dynamic banded rack pull (1.0 m/s) (x3)

2. Band resisted jumps (x3)

3. Max freestyle hurdle jump (x4) (vary approach)
