I never liked superheroes. I only ever liked funnies.

Primate is great. Bluesky's stupid word limit won't let me post my full review but you can check it out on letterboxd, where I talk about all the shit I see!

This is a book about how trans people just wanna live and be happy. It's so exhausting (and scary) trying to defend ourselves constantly. I wanted the political/social stuff to be a surprise, but maybe I ought to just be leaning into it. Because a LOT of real shit went into Our Sarnath.

Would love to see more folks reading my old-fashioned, cosmic horror fantasy story, Our Sarnath. This book follows a young couple who perform a dream ritual at an isolated cabin, where they become trapped with insidious demons, a kaiju sized lizard god, and ancient societies from pre-humanity!

This book was very cathartic to write. It's my most emotional, meaningful, and creepiest work. Read Our Sarnath if you've ever had to learn to love yourself again ... or if you like giant water lizards.

Letterboxd sent me my year in review. I'm not surprised by the results. Not even a little bit.

My 2026 reading goal?
Keep reading what I want, when I want, how I want.
So ... same as last year.

I think I can safely call it. These are the best films that came to theaters in 2025, as far as I'm concerned. Two Oz Perkins movies and two Stephen Soderbergh flicks. Crazy time to be alive and I'm here for it all.
Keeper is my number one. It's a psychedelic fever dream.
Best Theatrical Releases of 2025

Some authors just seem so miserable about he actual writing process. Like, why are you doing it? For the money? Because if so ... deep breath ... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

"Just one more novella, and THEN I'll write my doorstopper," the author said as she outlined two new novellas.

Hoping more folks will give my quiet/cosmic/dark fantasy book a try! Two queer academics begin a ritual in an isolated cabin (and quickly lose control)!

Support weird horror and grab a copy of OUR SARNATH! A winter set dark fantasy filled with monsters, ghosts, rituals, and raw emotions! This is my best book, and I'd love to see it stuffing some stockings this holiday season!

Y'all aren't ready for it but someday Sophia Takal's Black Christmas AND Halloween Ends will both have strong and vocal cult followings and I'll feel so vindicated when that day comes.

I've got a novella in this one! It's a reprint of a Thanksgiving set home invasion extreme horror satire, and it is DISGUSTING! Go check it out if you like gross stuff!

I wish I could post my full review but stupid bluesky has a stupid word limit. Anyways, I wrote some nice things on facebook and insta. This movie rules so much.

Well, this is nice to wake up to! OUR SARNATH (my favorite book I've written) is the number one release in Cosmic and Eldritch Horror today! A category it truly belongs to! Hell yeah! Please keep spreading the word about this book! It's emotional, it's creepy, it's queer, and it has a LOT of heart!

I am not an "extreme horror author." I'm an author. This book is cosmic / dark fantasy. Give it a read if you think my books are only about blood and guts!
