Bush and then Obama dramatically expanded executive authority without any foresight into how it could be taken advantage of in the future just so they could keep bombing Brown folks in the Middle East without congressional approval
The major legal doctrines being used now by the fascists--immunities, state secrets, various forms of "courts lack jurisdiction to look at what the Executive does," etc.--were zealously invoked and intentionally strengthened by a broad cadre of depraved Obama and Bush lawyers.

As “the first trans lawyer” at my last three firms, i understand this sentiment. I just wanted to do my job. But you’re a fucking US representative. You are putting yourself in this position. What about trans Delawareans?

It’s wild to me how much of our issues can trace back to reconstruction and how there was this one true moment to set the country on the right track and of course it was tanked by racism.
