And get this: The judge invoked a constitutional amendment codifying a right to make health care decisions... that was passed in 2012 by conservatives who thought it'd screw Obamacare! Just backfired.

I would like to speak up today for the trans community.
You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1

The biggest superpower in a autocracy are saying the words "no, I won't comply."
We outnumber them. Autocrats require constant effort to maintain control. Forcing them to expend effort to enforce compliance is our asymmetrical advantage.

In a couple weeks you're all going to meet the 16-year-old trans girl who's challenge to a ban on gender-affirming medical care is being heard at SCOTUS and I'm going to need you all to 1) be loud and thankful for how badass she's being and 2) fight for her like your life depends on it

Remember the eclipse back in April?
Since eclipses are rare I practiced camera settings and timing... then changed travel plans, watched the weather like a hawk, and ended up driving quite a bit. It all worked out. I'm proudest of this image and would love to do projects like this more often.
