Staring to recap one of the (many) SE/30 boards that I have. The first step in the processes-after removing the old surface-mount capacitors, of course- is to clean and tin the pads where the new capacitors will be soldered.

I really don't want to get to political here, but it's getting hard. Every time I follow the news, I just can't escape the feeling that this is 1930's Germany all over again.

Years ago, I read this book by Matt Savinar, written around 2003-2004. Matt never claimed to be anything more than a lawyer stating his case. Here is a scan from page 134. I'd really just like to focus on retro tech here, but this is hard to ignore.....

So a few months ago, a few friend of mine Co-opened a video rental store here in the center of town. It has all of you favorite formats including Bluray, DVD, and even VHS!! I told him one of my Mac SE's might make a good addition; and indeed, it has been a hit!
