Rural Advocate, Dairy Farmer and Maine Girl in possession of an abundance of opinions and in pursuit of knowing, doing and being better.
A damn heady brew of good trouble.
Not sure who needs to hear this, but the Armed Services of the United States do NOT serve at the pleasure of the President.

Billionaire philanthropist MacKenzie Scott has donated $70 million to the UNCF, the nation’s largest private provider of scholarships to minority students, as it works to raise $1 billion for historically Black colleges and universities. https://wapo.st/3VQMFg1

I guess as I sit here in a national meeting during Rosh Hashanah where there was yet again an opening prayer to Jesus Christ I find it really hard to stomach the whining that Christians are supposedly under attack in the US.
Shanah Tovah y'all.

All these folks saying they want to protect women in sport, restrooms and locker rooms seem very unwilling to deal with the high percentage of white males who violently attack women and LGBTQ+ on college campuses.
It's almost like the real effort is to protect white men.
Go figure.

Can we lower the flags to half mast to honour the death of critical thinking?

It didn't take long or much for folks to be okay with governmental and public attacks upon the First Amendment. Of course it remains still quite frowned upon to even question the original intent and contemporary applicability of the Second.
...even after gun violence.

Judging by the postings of so many on a variety of platforms there will be less cruelty in the comments on ICE actions, deportations & kidnappings, on campus dissent, the intentional starvation of those living in Gaza and its destruction and more...right?
I mean less hate overall, right?

There is a definite and well documented correlation between the rise of ED and hair growth drug use by men and the incidence of many diagnoses affecting children.

Some of all you all have made it to "oh well, they probably lacked a piece of paper or committed a crime at some point so it's okay that they just die in a camp" in blazingly fast time.
Stephen Miller is probably really impressed with how ahead of schedule this is all going. 🐑

It sounds trivial but I hope my daughter has grown to embrace and enjoy the art and joy of dining alone, in public and private. It's one of those things I learned to love very early on in life and I am so happy I did.

The ferocity with which most folks on the local community FB pages opine about the definition of "affordable housing" or lament that a dinner out for a family of four is more than $20 is matched only by their rabid desire for anything with "Dubai chocolate" in the name.

I just wasn't prepared for the real time, cumulative sorrow and grief of witnessing people I loved and respected cheer on the dismantling of our nation, brick by brick, for the purpose of pleasing a ruling, interest earning class.
