Hayakawa 7; Watanabe 7, Taniguchi 7, Suzuki 7; Doan 8, Sano 8 (MoM), Tanaka 6, Nakamura 7; Kubo 5, Minamino 7, Ueda 6.

FT Japan 2-0 Ghana. A cruisy Friday night for the Samurai Blue at Toyota Stadium, fine finishes from Minamino and Doan enough to sink a below par Ghana.
November 14, 2025 at 12:12 PM
Sota Kitano and Keisuke Goto come on for their Japan debuts. Takefusa Kubo one of the players taken off, he was, once again, average at best. Gets the assist for Doan's goal, but simply because he ran himself into a dead end and passed the ball off.
November 14, 2025 at 11:57 AM
Japan on the showboat with flicks in midfield from Minamino and Ueda to release Nakamura, but his curler lacks sufficient curl and he fires across the face of goal.
November 14, 2025 at 11:49 AM
Ritsu Doan smashes in low at the keepers near post, and Japan go 2-0 ahead!
November 14, 2025 at 11:40 AM
Oh no, I think Ao Tanaka has accidentally snapped the Ghana player's ankle.
November 14, 2025 at 11:30 AM
28' Lovely from Japan, and Keito Nakamura crosses for Ritsu Doan, who's first-time shot is blocked.
November 14, 2025 at 10:51 AM
Brilliant from Kaishu Sano, and Takumi Minamino tucks home a tidy finish! Japan 1-0 Ghana

I spent all game in the LINE group, but just popped over here to say that was absolutely tremendous, and though the quality of Japan's three goals didn't match that of Brazil's two, they fought back superbly and deserved to win.
Japan 3-2 Brazil. Give me a woof.
