Retired and trying a new career in living life. Photography, reading, traveling and cooking with the wife. And some social commentary when needed, but more for my mental health, not yours.

A New Here Introduction: Jeff here, I'm a hobbyist photographer that gets lucky and sells once in a while but it's not my main goal - art is. One of my composition rules is the Rule of I Hope This Works Out. Love to cook and travel with the wife, reading opens doors to anywhere. Peace!
Rainy days and sunshine can coexist. Roamed around the backyard after a shower the other say.

#Retired now for a few years and planned for it. This is kind of how I see the #working world now, working for the man.

At a height of 7000 feet and mostly dark skies, Sunset Lookout outside of Prescott was the perfect place to shoot Comets Lemmon and #SWAN. We didn’t see Lemmon and SWAN was found after the fact when I got back home; the telltale sign is its green coma.

The Granite Dells of Watson #Lake (man-made early 1900's) date back 1.4 billion years and originated from magma that cooled and solidified beneath the Earth’s surface. Their signature look was created by hundreds of millions of years of exposure and erosion.

Watson #Lake hosts a bunch of different water fowl and magnificent geology.

Living in the desert south west, USA I feel very fortunate to have this place just a 20 minute drive from me. The Gilbert Riparian Preserve is quite literally an #oasis.

Good walk around #Gilbert Riparian Preserve yesterday. Although the ponds are being drained for maintenance, there are still a good number of birds there.

Here are just a few: Great #Egret, House #Sparrow and a Northern #Mockingbird.

THIS #DOG, oh my goodness. I could tell he wanted to convey something to the owner the way he kept #jumping on him. I held back to get some dog action shots and got him completely off the ground.

Turns out he was just done with #walking and wanted to ride the owner back to the car. #photography

Record rainfall put us over the recorded average in one day. North-east of us Globe was devastated with flooding. A town somewhere near Phoenix got almost 4 inches in a couple of hours. It was intense.

Sometimes beauty and fury meet. These #clouds and #lightning were coming in the day before.

Matthew Dowd is fired for stating the obvious. Brian Kilmeade says we should euthanize the homeless, his cohosts agree and they'll be repeating their violent rhetoric regularly for years to come.

It's kind of like Al Franken losing his seat over a joke while a criminal rapist gets reelected POTUS.
In a sane world, Fox host Brian Kilmeade would be fired and shunned for his depraved comments that homeless people should be euthanized. That’s sick (and deeply ignorant), but sicker still is that it’s tolerated.

So, this happened yesterday, the biggest #haboob in #Arizona since 2011. Our first one was early 2000's. These things are biblical in size.

It was estimated to be 10,000 feet tall, traveled about 30 mph, was around 30 miles across and produced winds up to 66 miles an hour. #photography #storm

This. 100%.
Pritzker: This is not about fighting crime. This is about the President and his complicit lackey, Stephen Miller, searching for ways to lay the groundwork to circumvent our democracy, militarize our cities, and end elections.

That's my son's hand. Little dude was dazed and confused, flew into a wall next to where he was working. Spent the rest of the day in his truck. He took him to a field and he flew away. #Nature
